I have been in the practice of orthodontics since 1972 and have taken many of the orthodontic post-graduate courses offered in this country, including Ricketts, Roth-Williams, Sarver, Hilgers, etc.
I can say without question, that the McLaughlin course has been the finest course of its nature that I have ever taken.

Since around 1980 when I took the Roth-Williams course I have been very comfortable with my diagnostic abilities and mechanical skills. Dr. McLaughlin’s course, however, has reorganized my treatment diagnostic abilities as well as having given me a systematic way to treat malocclusions. In the last two years I have seen my cases more organized and on time. My thought process is crystal clear concerning almost every situation, especially with respect to mechanics and diagnosis.

I have taken tomographic x-rays of the temporomandibular joints since the early 80’s having owned five different tomographic machines, and now, with the rest of the profession, am studying cone beam technology. I am well versed in TMJ therapy but after having taken this course, I feel as though I know more about the temporomandibular joints and the cause of the temporomandibular joint problems that are related to the teeth, than I have ever known before.

Dr. McLaughlin’s applications of the latest technology in the world are superb. His treatment planning for regular orthodontic cases as well as surgical orthodontic cases is unparalleled.

I have only the finest things to say about Dr. McLaughlin as a person, diagnostician, and practitioner. He is an excellent teacher. No one in the course is “left behind”.

Assisting Dr. McLaughlin is Dr. Terry McDonald. Terry is without question one of the finest teachers I have every been around – he is an extremely knowledgeable orthodontist and his approach to all aspects of orthodontic as well as sleep apnea has helped me immensely. I have nothing but the highest degree of respect for both these fine gentlemen.

I would be remiss if I left out Dr. McLaughlin’s staff and how helpful they are. Laura Plant and Patty Knecht are two of the most knowledgeable orthodontic auxiliaries that I have ever been around. They keep the course on time, organized, and what ever you need is provided for by these two fine ladies. Dr. McLaughlin’s lab technicians and the way they do things are second to none.

I can truly say this has been the finest orthodontic educational experience that I have ever had.
